What to Expect

What To Expect

If you’re visiting with us for the first time, we’d like you to know exactly what to expect at our chiropractic care center. We want to provide you with a great experience and will make sure that you feel welcome and supported every step of the way. Our office is often described as warm, friendly and professional.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

Your first visit will take about one hour. After being warmly greeted, you’ll be invited to fill out your new patient paperwork. Dr. Carzoli will then sit down with you to discuss your concerns.

At Denver Upper Cervical Chiropractic our goal is to have the happiest, healthiest, most well-informed patients in the country.

To achieve this goal, we conduct a detailed consultation and comprehensive physical, neurological, and cognitive exam.

This is a no-pressure opportunity for you to learn about our unique Upper Cervical specialty and better understand how this care can benefit a wide range of conditions.

We only allow people to initiate care here if they are a good candidate for Upper Cervical work; following the consultation we perform screening tests to make sure this is a good fit.

If we find you’d be a good candidate for treatment, we’ll proceed with a thorough assessment, including:

  • A physical examination, including orthopedic and neurological testing
  • Cognitive testing through the Cambridge Brain Science cognitive testing battery
  • An orthospinology evaluation that includes digital 3-D imaging
  • A personalized review of your digital X-rays to help you understand the areas of your spine we will be focusing on and how they will be prioritized

Dr. Carzoli works hard to find the best healthcare providers in each profession.

If after the consultation, history and initial screening it is found your condition is not one best addressed through
chiropractic care, he will work diligently to match you with the right medical professional.

Scheduling Your Initial Consultation

We block off two hours for your first visit to ensure we answer any and all questions you may have. Because of this, all new patients are required to pay a $50 deposit to reserve their $100 consultation. If you decide to move forward with the exam following your consultation, this deposit will be applied to your payment and the details of the exam fees will be discussed clearly and thoroughly on that visit. If you decide to cancel your first appointment with less than 24 hours notice or do not show up, your $50 deposit will be forfeited. We are busy, and want to make sure our time is spent helping people!

What to Expect on Your Second Visit

On your second visit to the office, Dr. Carzoli will share the results of your testing, including a precise analysis of your X-rays.

This approach will help him to correct your spinal misalignments with accuracy and effectiveness. He’ll also discuss customized care options unique to your condition, and all financial matters.

Your visit will conclude with your first gentle chiropractic adjustment.

Dr. Carzoli uses extremely light force, similar to upper cervical chiropractic techniques, during treatment with no twisting, cracking or popping of the spine. The technique that he uses is instrument-assisted and helps to create positive outcomes for his practice members.

How can we help you?

  • Are your chiropractic treatments gentle?

The chiropractic treatments we employ are gentle and pain-free. Whether you have low back pain or soreness, or you suffer from scoliosis, this Denver chiropractic clinic treats every patient with care.

We’ve all seen videos of “chiropractors” treating patients like rag dolls.

That is not who we are.

  • What should I expect when I visit your office for the first time?

When a patient visits us the first time, we start with an individualized consultation. This initial visit will likely include:

    Physical exam

    Digital x-ray exam

    20-minute cognitive exam

These exams allow us to precisely measure success.

At your next follow-up visit, you’ll receive your first chiropractic adjustment. Right away, we retake the exams. At the end of your chiropractic plan (typically 3 months), we redo the exams, and we show you your progress from the first visit all the way to the last visit.

  • How can I make an appointment?

To schedule an appointment, please call 303-955-8270, fill out our form on our contact us page or send an email to: info@denveruppercervical.com

  • How often will I need to get chiropractic treatments?

The scientifically proven and research-based approach we use helps people recover in less time with fewer adjustments. On average, we see our patients about one third to one fourth as often as most chiropractors. This saves our patients time and money while allowing us to be precise and efficient with care.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us to offer this appointment slot to other patients who may have an immediate need to our care.

If you do not let us know 24 hours in advance, you will be charged a $25 rescheduling fee.

We do understand that emergencies happen, and we will always do our best to accommodate your needs. Your care is always our top priority.
